Common Tattoo Removal Questions

We use two methods, the Saline Removal Method, and the Magnetic Halogen System. The technician that performs your initial consultation will recommend the best method for you, based on your unique circumstances. The type of tattoo ink used, the size of the tattoo, and your skin tone are all important factors in determining the correct tattoo removal method for you.

Saline Method

The saline method involves sanitizing your skin, using a cosmetic tattoo machine to open the tattooed area, and using a hypertonic saline solution to remove the tattoo ink. This occurs gradually through the scabbing and healing stages. The process is simple and straightforward. The saline does not contain ingredients that harm or damage the client’s melatonin skin pigment. It is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and non-acidic. Used correctly by a trained technician, this hypertonic salt solution releases the ink bond. During the scabbing process the ink is pulled to the surface by the scab. You should expect between 3 to 6 sessions performed once per month to fade the ink depending on ink depth and quality of ink used. We do not recommend working on a large scale tattoo in one sitting. Your technician will go over the proper aftercare procedure with you to ensure the best results possible.

Magnetic Halogen System

The Magnetic Halogen Tattoo Removal System that we use is not laser or intense pulsed light, although it works on similar principles. The patent pending design does not use charge pumps or diode co2 lasers. It only uses 50-75 watts of focused halogen light. This simple but effective design is very safe. The full spectrum halogen light is absorbed by the tattoo pigments from underneath the top layer of skin. This super heats them instantly and alters the tattoo ink. This brings the altered tattoo ink particles to the attention of the immune system. Your immune system immediately sends out macrophage cells to engulf the tattoo ink particles and remove them through the lymphatic system. If you blister, there is also a portion of the tattoo ink that is pushed to the surface of the skin and falls off with the scab. Different inks lighten at different rates from tattoo removal. The health of your immune system also will determine how fast your tattoo ink fades.

Multiple treatments are generally necessary for removal and will vary according to tattoo size, location on the body, and healing factors of the client. It generally takes 3 to 6 sessions to remove a tattoo, sometimes more depending on the depth of the tattoo and the quality of the tattoo ink.
